Comment: Hello to my classmates of 1971! Special shout-outs to the gorgeous boys and beautiful gals of Lathrup Village. Can't ever forget my crazy-ass friends from Beacon Square, or great friends I met later from St. Bede's. 





My husband and I are enjoying retirement in central FL, an hour away from Disney (the mouse that ate Orlando!) and just 60 mies or so from beaches on either coast. We love  the rural natural part of Florida our area has to offer...State Parks with manatees (711 this past January one day at Blue Springs, awesome!)  It's a peaceful gated golf community on conservation wetlands, turtles, snakes, gators and all, love it!  Our neighbors are from all over the US and the Caribbean, Bora Bora and Europe. How'd they ever find our little city of Leesburg?





First, much love to Donna and Sandy (you know who you are, and I'll love you both forever.)





To those I haven't been in touch with for many years... Lynne Lakota, Jo Ann Dakiin, Debbie and Ken, Julie, Brian, Jim Calendar, Maurice Bonilla, (Dave Unkefer, Sandy Smart, Mark Joslin (RIP) on senior trip tp the Bahamas) Bev Sak, Sue Blumenthol, Tom Grosse, John Tucker. Where is Robbie Stawinski, Mark Kaufman, Gayle Kaufman, Joe Ammon?  When I looked at the lsit of MIA's it was 162. That's a huge segment of our class we can't contact, sad!





And to Karen Figlan, who gave me my first pair of pierced earrings in 7th  or 8th grade? ...I'll always be grateful, though I didn't always show it, I still think of you as the kindest person I ever met, even 50+ years later.





I wasn"t always the best I couold be back then, but hope I redeemed myself in 18 years of retail buying. 60 hour weeks, traveling allover the US and South America to factories, then 25+ years working at the Humane Society (also 60 hours a week!) serving animals in need, which was truly a passion of mine and a labor of love! Took me forever, but finally found my calling!





Thinking of ALL of you, have a blast! Sorry we couldn't attend, and sorry I'm forgetting so many other memorable people's names that I should've mentioned, because I thought so highly of you. I should've pulled out my yearbook (your faces back then are ingrained in my memory...names, omg, escaping me at this moment.) Uh Oh, here comes dementia!
